Well... at last logicians and rethorics can agree one one thing: while it sounds nice, it is utter bullocks. The ultimate aim of an argument is always a definite result (aka victory)... be it a true statement or a convinced listener...

To be fair: the purpose of having an argument / arguing is of cause progress towards that aim...

great job there. you made me add one more view to what seems to be a ad-agencies tech-demo with a rather crappy background track disguising as music vid...

Those are just fancy Steri-Strips.
That closure technique is ok for primary closure of small incision wounds, but it's absolutely unsuitable for tertiary closure, larger incisions (e.g. Kocher during open chole) or in lacerations.

Also those strips probably can't approximate deeper tissues correctly, so the surgeon needs to either perform a 2-layer closure (thus negating the whole sense of using anything other than classic atraumatic suture), or a single layer closure using suture or maybe a stapler. The other problem is the tensile strength – a correctly performed 2-layer suture in open lap already requires the PT to lay down for a longer while. Those would potentially force PTs to unnecessarily prolong the convalescence period.
